About Dr. Elperin
Dr. Anna Elperin has attended Hunter College CUNY in New York where she has earned her Bachelors Degree in Biology and Creative writing. Her research experience includes laboratory research at the New York University School of Dentistry in the histopathology laboratory studying Squamous Cell Carcinoma of Head and Neck (SCCHN). Her clinical research work was performed at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn at the Department of Emergency Medicine.
She was simultaneously involved in two clinical research studies. One, Analyzing the validity of blood gas analyzer and the second, utility of using whole blood for identification of pregnancy with a Point – of – Care testing in the setting of Emergency Department.
She attended medical school at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Washington. She fell in love with the mountains of this beautiful region and she and her family decided to stay in the Pacific Northwest for Residency training. Dr. Elperin is dually board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Physicians, as well as American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. She became very interested in Functional Medicine in her training, as it really coincided with her philosophy of care.
Dr. Elperin believes in providing individualized health solutions to her patients and treating the root cause of the disease, not just the symptoms. She is passionate about improving patient’s functionality, vitality and improving quality of life for her patients. Dr. Elperin is currently in the process of becoming a Certified Functional Medicine Physician through an Institute of Functional Medicine. It was a natural move into the field of regenerative and stem cell medicine, as it fits perfectly within the realm of restoring function and treating root cause of a disease. Currently, Dr. Elperin is a leading expert in a stem cell therapy in the PNW.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband and two children. They enjoy skiing, hiking and discovering the wine regions of the Pacific Northwest.
