DISSOLVE THE DOUBLE CHIN

People are using Kybella as an alternative to surgery and liposuction because kybella uses injections only, dissolving that double chin!

As we age our bodies may begin to change in unflattering ways. Our skin loses its elasticity and fat can begin to accumulate in areas that we find embarrassing. One area where excess fat can develop is beneath the chin, otherwise known as a double chin. For years, the traditional way to address this embarrassing attribute has been with a neck lift or liposuction, but recently, a new FDA-approved injectable called Kybella offers a non-surgical, fast and easy way to diminish the double chin.

How does Kybella work? Bile is a fluid made by your liver. It’s continually produced and stored in your gallbladder until it is needed. When you eat fatty foods, bile is pushed into your small intestine where it breaks down the fats in the food that you ate.

Kybella is a man-made version of one of the components of bile called Deoxycholic acid (DC). The DC destroys the fat cell membranes and releases the fat into your body as cellular debris. The fat and the DC both are then cleared by your lymphatic and circulatory systems. They’re metabolized, broken down, then excreted as waste by the body.

What’s the treatment like? Kybella is injected into the fat under your chin. The number of injections depends on the amount of fat being treated and how you want your neck to look.

Does it hurt? For most people, a topical numbing cream and ice keep the pain manageable. There is no downtime or recovery time required after treatments, although we recommend if you have an event to go to, to plan ahead with appointments as some may experience temporary swelling, bruising, or numbness under the chin.

How many treatments does it take? As like with most aesthetic treatments, the number of treatments differ from person to person, because each face is unique, optimal goals vary. Minimum of 2 treatments.

How long does it last? Once the fat cells are destroyed, they can’t store or accumulate fat. As long as you maintain a healthy weight, you shouldn’t need more treatment.

A Non surgical injectable option for adults with moderate to severe submental fat (double chin): permanently destroying the fat under your chin.

A series of treatments individually tailored to your unique chin profile.

You and Dr. Elperin will determine the number of treatments you may need based on:

  • How much Fullness is beneath your chin
  • Your aesthetic goals

The double chin was reported as the #2 facial area of concern for men.

HOW DOES KYBELLA WORK?

Once the fat cells in the treatment area are gone, THEY’RE GONE!

  • Deoxycholic Acid is a naturally occurring molecule that helps break down fat in the body
  • Fat cells are broken down each time Kybella is injected into the treatment area beneath the chin
  • Over a period of time, those cells are cleared away through the natural processes of your body
  • You are left with a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin
